A mini model of a Bentley that never existed can be found in the secret compartment of a limited edition book of super suave spy 007.
James Bond drove the Bentley R type, in Thunderball and On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Though the car never existed, author Ian Fleming recognised the traits that make the marque a favourite with prestige car hire customers, and invented his own model.
Now, a new Bond story entitled Devil May Care written by Sebastian Faulks is set to feature the fantasy luxury car again.
And, as part of the launch, 300 limited edition copies will be released, each with an individual serial number on the book jacket and on the numberplate of the replica car.
The special edition, which is bound in Bentley upholstery leather and designed by Bentley's Dirk van Braeckel is part of the centenary celebrations of Ian Fleming's May 28th birthday.
