Kimi Raikkonen recorded the fastest lap time in practice at the Istanbul Park where the Turkish Grand Prix will take place this weekend, followed closely by McLaren Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.
The young Brit was three hundredths of a second slower than the drivers' championship point leader and just over a tenth of a second faster than the other Ferrari racer, Felipe Massa.
Raikkonen achieved the fastest lap in the afternoon test session despite having problems with his gearbox in the morning and light rainfall making the track a little bit slicker.
Massa led the morning practice run on the track on which he has clinched victory the last two years.
Meanwhile, Brit David Coulthard managed to speed around on the fourth fastest lap, though his teammate fared less well.
Mark Webber, also of the Red Bull team crashed into a barrier beyond the sixth turn.
